The Client
The Garage Grimsby is a well-established independent garage specialising in high-end vehicle servicing. Local reputation is excellent, but online reputation was behind, resulting in fewer enquires through their website.
They required a stronger digital presence, to increase local customers and deliver a website experience that matches the quality of their servicing.
The Challenge
In April 2025, The Dockside Agency worked with The Garage Grimsby to increase their online visibility and generate additional enquiries through their website.
The garage needed to rank high in Google for their most significant service keywords, so that they could identify more local clients who were actively looking for a service like theirs online. At the same time, their website needed to be completely transformed, focusing on conversion-driven design, engaging copy, improved navigation and improved mobile responsiveness.
A robust SEO solution was also required in order to create organic growth, like local optimisation, keyword targeting and technical enhancement.
The Solution
We approached the project by coupling strategic SEO with an entire redesign of the website.
The site was redesigned to more effectively guide visitors on to enquiring, with enhanced calls-to-action, a better navigation, and new copy that brought out the high-end nature of their service. Mobile optimisation also helped, delivering a seamless experience across the board, with technical improvements such as schema markup and business listing optimisation further enhancing the site’s search ranking.
Our SEO strategy aimed at both organic and local search visibility, high-value keywords and increasing the visibility of the garage on search engines.
The Results
The Garage Grimsby moved from a position of not ranking at all, to showing up consistently on Google’s first one to three positions for their key service keywords, which greatly increased their visibility to prospective clients.
Organic traffic was boosted steadily on average by around 10% per month, with new users up 65% year-to-date, bringing the business to new customers.
Improvements to user journey, including improved navigation, conversion-focussed design, and call-to-action optimisation, delivered a measurable increase in enquiries from organic search.
